Teddy Ruxpin to the Rescue
There I lay, bleeding on the sands of Tikrit. All members of my squad are sprawled dead around me. I've given up all hope for survival. I cry and think of home... Then it appears, slowly gliding across the dirt and rubble, a long forgotten image of a singing teddy bear I had loved as a child. Oh sweet, sweet reassuring face! I am saved!
Play me a song old friend, play me a song!

That's pretty rad. No word in the article on how many/when/if these will actually be deployed.

So let me get this straight... it can walk upright over virtually any terrain including stairs, it can carry up to 500 pounds, and it can be operated remotely with cameras and such. And their plan is to send it in to pick up broken humans? I see Terminators in the near future.

I love the design of the robot too-- it totally looks like a robot made to serve humans.

Forget carrying people out, put guns on that thing and send it in. I'd run if I saw a teddy bear comming at me unloading a 50 cal. machine gun.
